Social Responsibility

Mesa Mall is proud to be a community partner. We strive to meet community challenges through a combination of employee volunteerism, financial support, in-kind donations and partnerships with non-profit organizations which have missions consistent with our vision and values.

Community Partnerships

School District 51
Mesa Mall enjoys volunteering time in the classroom throughout the school year, as well as hosting events including the Mesa County Safety Council Children’s Safety Fair, Shop With a Cop, and Stuff the Bus school supply drive to help with school supplies. For over 10 years, Mesa Mall has hosted the Taco Bell/Pepsi Sober Grad, a graduation party for local high school juniors and seniors to have a fun, safe, sober graduation party.  We encourage our community to join us in supporting our local Mesa County schools.

Military Support Groups
Mesa Mall supports active and retired military, especially troops fighting overseas. Throughout the year we partner with Blue Star Mother’s to host a variety of events; a Valentine Factory and care package drive for guests to create Valentine cards and donate care package items for those serving overseas and The Bunny Breakfast, a private breakfast party with the Easter Bunny for children of soldiers. During the holidays, Mesa Mall hosts the Blue Star Mother’s Military Honor Tree and the Military Families of America Tree and book drive.

Mesa County Partners
Mesa Mall and Mesa County Partners work together on a variety of projects throughout the year, including the Wrap Up For Charity holiday gift wrapping. Mesa County Partners helps make a difference in the lives of young people by helping partnering them with a mentor that promotes a positive self-image, a sense of belonging, and an acceptance of responsibility for their actions.

Salvation Army
During the holidays at Mesa Mall, guests can donate to the "Salvation Army Giving Tree", which is adorned with tags with a child's age and Christmas wish list on it.  The Salvation Army also raises money at all mall entrances with the “Kettle Drive”.  Mesa Mall staff also "adopts a family" each holiday season providing the family with a holiday meal and gifts.

Contribution Requests

Each year, Mesa Mall will contribute a preset amount of funds in the form of Gift Cards, merchandise and use of property to a diverse group of organizations. Hundreds of requests are anticipated each year. Donation recipients may include civil organizations' education programs; food banks; foundations; hospitals and healthcare organizations; youth programs; performing arts and museums and many more. Each request is reviewed carefully, however, not all requests can be granted.
